About

Wild Wondering Beach and Forest School aims to help young people fall in love with nature, a happy place they can return to again and again.
Whether they’re exploring the shoreline, investigating rock pools, hunting for minibeasts, or cooking over a campfire, nature becomes their classroom and every day is a new adventure.
Here, learning happens by doing: building shelters, tying knots, whittling sticks, and following their curiosity. Participants are free to explore, play, build, create, imagine, and use all their senses to soak up the natural world around them.
It’s not just fun — it’s powerful.
These wild experiences help grow confidence, friendships, resilience, and a lasting connection to the natural world.

My daughter absolutely loves attending Wild Wondering sessions. Amber is amazing with the children and manages to capture their attention and imagination in so many different ways each week. Molly, who often assists, is also wonderful too. There is a fantastic balance of guided activities but also allowing the children to explore nature, or lead the sessions' direction themselves. I would recommend to everyone!

We attended our first session at Wild Wondering Forest School with my little boy, aged two, and it was absolutely wonderful. Amber made what felt like an immediate and special connection with him—she was so attuned to his needs and just as in tune with the other children too. It’s rare to see someone create such a natural sense of trust right from the start.

The setting itself was beautiful, with both indoor and outdoor spaces that instantly put us at ease. It struck the perfect balance between gentle learning and truly child-led exploration. The children were free to simply be children while still being positively encouraged to take part in lovely activities—painting, planting seeds, collecting nature treasures, toasting marshmallows, and more.

There was also a gorgeous sense of community, with everyone looking out for each other and all the children supported so kindly. Our island needs more spaces like this—places where little ones can connect with nature, with each other, and with adults who genuinely care.

We’re already so excited to return. 🌿✨

Ps thank you also to lovely Molly who was supporting amber who bought a sense of awe and wonder connection to to all the children.
